Our History

In 1885 C.W. Benning and Associates, Inc. entered the General Contracting business in Atchison, Kansas, the principle owner was Lynn Benning. Throughout Kansas, C.W. Henry Benning and Associates, Inc. built numerous government, state and local buildings for the cities of Atchison, Kingman, Winfield, Great Bend, Garnett, and Emporia. The most notable buildings were the Union Depot, the County Courthouse as well as the Effingham High School, in Effingham, Kansas. As the turn of the century quickly approached, C.W. Benning and Associates, Inc. found themselves doing more work in Oklahoma, and Salt Lake City, Utah where one of the best known projects was the Symns Wholesale House.

Over the years the Benning family and C.W. Benning and Associates, Inc., has built or participated in the building of numerous Post Office buildings from Alabama to Rock Springs, Wyoming where Lynn Benning (principle in charge) was the Project Manager/ Superintendent for all the plumbing and mechanical work, and supervised the installation of the heating, and ventilation systems throughout each of the Post Office buildings.

Today, C.W. Benning Construction, who opened their offices in El Paso, Texas in 1987 continues to employ the same visionary thinking that lead them into the 20th Century. And as we enter the 21st Century our foresight and progressively aggressive work plan along with our use of technology has successfully enabled us to work throughout the state of Texas, the South, and the Southwest. And completed successfully several projects in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Missouri, and of course Texas.
